Well, it sounds as I suspected. For this being an official Video I’d expected a little bit more „excitement“. It sounds to sterile. Totally missing the crisp here. So far it didnt happened. In times were we’re flooded with great new analog synthesizer one must come forward with something unconventional. I’m really looking forward into new analogs with the newly produced Curtis CEMs and the rebirth of synths in the line of 80ies icons such as SH-101, Prophet VS, SQ80, EMU. All these classics are still a laeague of ther own…
Few of the majors seem to be able to make a bold move these days. Everyone plays the „save-card“ and thats why almost all of the new analogs dont sound much different from each other.
None of the majors is actually delivering what we’re craveing for. It takes a startup company to inject the magic back into the world of synthesizers to bring us back the raw un predictable crispy-crunch we’re looking for. Play something like a crappy moog radio shack next to this and you’ll know what I mean with crispy-raw-crunch…even an old soviet delivers more character.
